Reached for: Falcons
“I was meant for something higher than this. I've always known it, and I've never once been able to prove it.”
A sense of noble destiny runs alongside a conviction of worthlessness, each used to answer the other and neither ever settled. The pairing came from a father who was absent, withholding or dismissive, leaving a claim that went unconfirmed and a lasting hunger for confirmation from men in high positions. What it asks for is one accomplishment measured without reference to him.
Phaethon, who went to the sun demanding proof of his parentage and was handed the reins as evidence. The form implies a task of wanting the father rather than the proof.
